Animals learn how to be ‘evil’ if you want to call it that, by being raised a certain way. They get beaten and mistreated to become killing machines, by people who raise them up to behave that way.

There is a whole drug culture and gang culture that has slimy men and women raising dogs to fight, and also to be early warning detectors and to ‘take the first bullet’ so they can get their guns for whoever’s coming for them.

Gangs are raising violent animals to fight them or protect them. They love pitbulls for the reasons stated in above posts.

I am not saying that certain breeds are not more people friendly than others, but I am saying that I don’t know of any dogs who are like this at birth. You spend 1-2 years of not getting fed enough, getting kicked, punched and rough handled and you’re not going to like people. You’re not going to give a stranger the benefit of the doubt, you will assume that person is going to harm you.

I say we go after the human scum who turns these animals into the killing machines they are. In all candor, these dogs are just like guns to these scummy people. It’s just another tool in their arsenal. Kill off the scummy drug dealers and gang members, much, much less scum left breeding killer dogs.

Tell that to my wife's cousin. His child was seriously mauled by neighbor's a dog (chow) several years back. The dog had been raised as a family pet - with the best of care and really a spoiled "baby". The dog just "snapped". The dog owners tried to use that same defense (dog was sweet - we have no idea what could have caused it). The child was not in any way harassing or bothering the dog- and in fact, the child had spent time around the dog before with no problem.
