Where did I say nuke the entire middle east?

Last time I checked Iraq was a country. Call it a police action or whatever, but my buddies at the fire bases and other places may argue the point.

Let them do their damn jobs, smash the opposition and start over. Worked in Germany and Japan (OK so we nuked them, you win...)

Allow me to rephrase my statement using your own terms : Nobody is going to let the troops "do their damn jobs". We just had the most hawkish admin ever and they couldn't get the job done. It is quite likely that the next president will be a Democrat. All of the rhetoric about "supporting the troops" and "giving them the tools" and "staying in until the job is finished" is about to go about the window. How the republican base fails to see this, I don't know.

It's funny that neocons claim that RP is out of touch, yet, at the same time, they keep saying we need to fight this war like WWII. It simply isn't going to happen. The public (the other half of the public) won't buy it.
