Sorry but that's just not true.

During the last decade, the Spanish-language broadcast market has exploded. There were 342 Spanish-language television stations operating in the United States last year, up from 206 four years earlier. Two giants dominate the U.S. Spanish-language market:

Well, if the internet and cable were around when my grandparent arrived at Ellis Island, perhaps there would have been assorted broadcast markets that appealed to their heritage.

It may have lessened the amount of ignorance and bigotry too...but from what is visible in forums like this, perhaps I'm wrong.

My point was simply that with each generation, English will replace their native language.
