I think you're right, TT. We do need some unskilled workers in this country; it is the "curse", I guess, of an educated citizenry.
I just wish the conservatives would move on: Bush knows he lost, and though he had a point to make, he should have put border security first.
The War on Terror, tax cuts, a conservative judiciary and the protection of innocent life are things most conservatives can agree with the President on...perhaps we can focus on those things now.

Mr. Bush said there are workers who will do jobs Americans aren't doing in the agriculture sector in particular, and without them the jobs will go unfilled. Who picked the cotton before the border to Mexico was made wide open?

You can get your unskilled labor from 50% of those on welfare that are cheating the system.
