I have read many articles of late imploring people to stop trying to “save” Africa, “please stop giving us aid”, etc. but you’d think ol’ Billy would know of this, wouldn’t you?
I have no doubt that his aides have briefed him on the proposals that would actually benefit Africa such as what you mention, and they have similarly warned him that by changing course he risks the loss of numerous personal perks, the loss of numerous brutal dictator friends that he has made over the years as well as illustrating the illogical and counterproductive nature of "solutions" that are the foundation of the Left. He's been advised to dismiss any such questions (which he won't get from people like Diane Sawyer) with a condescending wave of the hand and describing them as "not in keeping with America's proud history of international compassion for the underprivileged.".
