Somehow, I just don’t think a group of families, with a number of open-carry members, walking around the festival, would attract less of a police interest.
It might have caused more respect for the law than these officers portrayed. It’s a sad state of affairs when we have to remind the police to obey the laws they are sworn to enforce. Despicable behaviour IMHO.

Come to think of it, isn't that kind of a shame? Can we be content if our society is trending toward such helpless asthenia that the sight of people prepared to defend themselves effectively gives lots of people a severe, acute, advanced case of the vapors?
We delegate the duty of charity to the government. We delegate, more and more, the duty to care for our elders and our young to the government. When a teenager has a wreck and dies, while her passenger suffers a crippling spinal cord injury, the parents and her friends blame the government for not putting a lower speed limit on the road.
It's clear that civilization postpones the taking up of adult responsibilities and freedoms in order to educate the young. But to put them off forever, cannot be good.
To have declined to the point where frankly exhibiting one's readiness to protect oneself is guaranteed to make people feel nervous and to think they have a right not to have to look at a handgun is not clearly a good thing.
Evidently you didn’t read what I said. I said I doubt there would have been the level of Arrogance displayed by this group of Gestapo agents.
Yes, I called them Gestapo and until the Police in this country remember that there is a Constitution that is THE law of the land, I will continue to call them that.
