He's been such a huge disappointment.

He's exhibit A that you have to ride smart if you want to to win this thing, and he's done anything but.

Moreau=abruti=blockhead!

Speaking of abrutis, along those same lines I'll repeat what I posted a while ago on a thread elsewhere:

The Versus commentators were saying that the players who went down in that last corner yesterday (& sporting bandages today) are all complaining to officials that the corner wasn't in the race handbook they're given so nobody expected it.

I can't help but think that Lance Armstrong would have known exactly which optimal angle to take that corner, at exactly what optimal speed because he would have checked every mm. out on that course & ridden it five times. He NEVER relied on the players' handbook.

Haven't these guys heard of GoogleEarth even? They could have at least done the virtual ride.

It's amazing how laissez-faire some of these guys are about the most important race in their profession.

I was thinking about that when they were in the Alps; no Red Devil this year. Something must be wrong.

I feared that the Religion of Peace "youths" from Paris had showed up for the Tour, but it turned out to be a media van that caught on fire.

"Something must be wrong."

I thought so too, & was worried about el diablo (he's not as young as he used to be). But folks in the know are telling us to look out for him when the tour gets closer to Paris this year.;-)

"You referring to Floyd Landis who was fond cheating with a testosterone patch on his scrotum ?"

Then why did Floyd have a low testosterone level? Please go away.

I saw an interview with the Red Devil a year or so ago. He’s actually German, shows up at a lot of other bike races, isn’t that old (about 50) and has a raft of kids.

"I got the impression they were touting Levi more than Dave Z. Levi's still in the mix."Levi is smart enough to know that the era of supermen who can race hard for three weeks is over. Let's hope he's saving himself for the Pyrenees'; if he wins this the French media are going to crap their pants.

"Let's hope he's saving himself for the Pyrenees"

I'm thinking that's the strategy. Just stay out of sight & out of trouble & then come on like a maison on fire in the pyr's.

Great pics, thanks!

LOL, I haven't seen Didi either. But we did see a stoopid fan's hapless dog wander into the race and spoil a rider's day. We just didn't see the dog's owner (i.e. most fans keep their pets out of the riders way).

I’ll have to watch the re-airing, I’ve been listening to it most days at my desk, but often miss parts. I can’t wait for the mountain stages, they are always my favs. I’ll be watching for Didi in the Pyrenees!

I saw the devil in the Alps. Phil and Paul talked about how he appears at the highest/hardest point of every stage. He was there.

Yesterday’s stage was FANTASTIC. I don’t care what anyone says, I’m still a Vino fan, and I’ll remain hopeful til the day he abandons. Or the race is over, whichever comes first.

(haven’t watched today yet)

I love Vino because he’s a racer. I’m not going to stop being a fan just because he gets dropped on one stage. :-)
