We all know about the Democrats. It is the Republicans (in office) that I worry more about. At least we can count on the Democrats to be what they have been for decades. I can't, any longer, say that about many of the "Republicans". And that is the reason, while they may still get my vote on election day (lessor of two evils in many cases), it certainly hasn't been very enthusiastic!

But I no longer vote so as a registered Republican. Ended that process almost 9 years ago, after 17 election cycles of not only being a card carrying Republican, but donating money to the party and working for various campaigns, as a volunteer.

The Grand Old Party sure ain't what she used to be!

As my dear cousin and friend for life said, and I echo the emotion, "I used to be a conservative. Now I am only voting to preserve our Constitutional Republic not simply conserve it. I am a Preservative!"

But I am not holding my breath in the belief that "We the People" can much longer accomplish the task.
