TAM Flight 3054 speeding down the tarmac more than four times as fast as other planes landingWhat? with a normal landing speed of 125-150 knots, how could Flight 3054 be attempting a landing at 4x normal landing speed?

ahh, look at those gas prices! Funny how when the looked to approve ole Sams Chevron there in Burbank the entire file was missing.

...What is the "speed of rotation" (take-off speed) for an Errbus A320...."4x as fast?"/were they on a taxiway?

That would make sense—that he aborted the landing and tried to take off again.
Remind me not to fly into that airport.

One think about LaGuardia, if your short or long your in the drink and not into a gas station.
It sure is fun at LaGuardia on a rainy night watching them take off and land. There is an excellent view from the bar upstairs.

Not only that, but why would a gas station be allowed near the end of the runway even if it is on private property?I believe Burbank has a runway that has a gas station across the street from the threshold. A Southwest flight ended up next to the pumps a few years ago; luckily, no fatalities.
