Well that's fine. Guy's entitled to his own opinion.
But that doesn't mean we have to vote for him, or any one else who thinks like that.
In fact, he's gone to great lengths to conceal his real opinions. In the '04 campaign, immigration was barely mentioned...and all the Republicans stood by, thinking that he really wasn't all that pink on the issue, that it was just an election ploy.
Wrong. Right after the election, the first thing he talked about was "boy oh boy ahm gonna git me some amnesty" -- which was a puzzle to everyone, because that was exactly what he did not talk about. BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE COLLAPSED HIS BASE IF THEY KNEW HIS REAL INTENTIONS.
So Mr. Jorge is entitled to his opinion. But....he lied and concealed it in the past, and there isn't any reason why we should go along with it.
Everyone kept telling me to campaign and vote for him because he WOULD do something after the election. You know, he simply couldn't take everything on after 9/11.
Now his robe-kissers say Bush always said the same thing and that we were supposed to know. After all, 9/11 changed nothing, right?
