No.. cults use coercive (read that as violent or oppressive) tactics against the people who speak out against them, or (Esp. in this case) people who LEAVE the cult.

Unfortunately,Boortz isn’t on the air in my part of the world, neither is Glenn Beck, or G. Gordon Liddy, for that matter. Apparently, our local conservative talk station gets too much ratings from the Coast-to-Coast tinfoil hat brigade, so they carry them at night instead of something useful.
By this definition the Roman Catholic Church, at least in some areas of the world, was a cult up through the mid 19th century. Had you been around then you presumably would have joined the Know-Nothing Party, which was opposed to the influence of the Catholic "cult" in America.
