I recently sent my weekly newsletter to a writer for The State, one of South Carolina's leading newspapers. The newsletter contained several headlines which have been overlooked by the mainstream media'. Mostly good news, about the economy and Iraq.
The response I received from Jeffrey Day, of The State, shocked me:
"i hae you. take me off your mailing list. The other overlooked good news.....this administration is imploding."
Now here is a member of the media, obviously a charter member of the left, that 'hates' anyone

Liberals don’t hate anyone. Well, except people who diagree with them, but they are EVIL and should be purged.

Just more proof — not that we need any more — that liberalism is a mental disease.
I can tell you in 4 words:
Impeachment of Bill Clinton.
They will NEVER get over that. They were so furious over that they will hate conservatives for the rest of their lives.
The Impeachment is what brought on the "Bush was selected - not elected" garbage in 2000 and 2004. It also brought on the "Bush lied and people died" bunk.
It also caused the "they would prefer that America loses the war than have Bush turn out to be right about terrorism" mental illness.
These people are nothing more than big babies who are throwing a temper tantrum because Clinton got impeached.
They will NEVER get over it and they will never let go of their hate.
I would pity them if I weren't afraid they will cause the end of our civilization as we know it.
I think the reason libs hate conservatives so much is rebellion.
Every lib I’ve ever known has some kind of rebellion in their bones against “the man”. They all come from dysfunctional families, or had a bad relationship with them.
That’s why they are so irrational. Because their liberalism is really centered in emotional immaturity. And that’s why so many strive to become and sound educated. They are seeking to educate themselves out of their problems.
The conservatives get tied up in their mind with the establishment that’s trying to “stifle their spirit”, so they really really hate them.
The liberals will never forgive Reagan for putting the Soviet Union out of business.
The liberals are living in their own dream worlds, Socialist utopias where everyone is equal and all things are perfect; a Heaven that only they can build.
But hey, what else is left after rejecting God, the family, and reason?

I think everybody is partly right about why liberals act the way they do. For my part I’ll add that I think liberals are narcissistic control freaks. They have to be use the hypocritical twisted logic which has become their standard MO on every topic du jour.
They hate so easily because they truly aren’t capable of honestly loving anyone but themselves.
It is a mental disease, isn’t it? I have been studying liberals for a while as an anthropological exercise.
The Bush-hatred is particularly interesting. The liberals will reply “well, he is a terrible president. The bad policy just offends us.”
The thing is that they attack Bush even when he’s advocating policies that they would support with a different president. Bush got little credit from liberals when he pushed for amnesty for illegal immigrants for example.
I have a hypothesis about liberals. On 9/11, we all witnessed the death of the idea that people everywhere around the world were basically alike and wanted the same things. A human could react one of three ways to the news.
1. One could decide that the Islamicists are right and go join them. This approach has worked for liberals in the past in some cases, such as the people who cheered on Ho Chi Minh. Unfortunately for the liberals, the Islamicists make that approach impossible. After all, liberals feel queasy about supporting people who support stoning for adultry and slaughter of Jews.
2. One could decide that western civilization, for all its imperfections, is worth defending. This type of approach would mean that creating utopia would have to take a back seat to defending the current society. Defending the current society is not easy for narcissists, however. It implies that the wisdom of the ages is worth more than their own wisdom.
3. One could enter a state of denial. By blaming Bush for everything, they can maintain their narcissism and don’t have to face up to the reality that Islamicists want to kill all Americans. Clearly, most liberals chose this option.
This says it all about the loony pathetic left.

The paper is called “The State”?
Maybe “The Statist” would be a better fit.
They are quite convinced that those who disagree with them are not only wrong, but should not be allowed even to express their ideas. That is why the title Liberal is wrongly applied. They are the Radical Left. Liberals would believe in free speech for all.

Yes. But they post all e-mail addresses on their web site and encourage comments (except for conservative ones, I guess)
I wondered the same...Spam pisses me off too.
