And all of them agree with Money magazine's assessment that North Haven is among the "100 Best Places to Live in the United States."
The rating, announced Tuesday by the magazine, comes as a welcome bit of positive news to a town whose reputation was sullied earlier this year with the arrests of three top officials, two of whom are accused of embezzling town funds and a third of helping to cover up the alleged crime.
The magazine's August edition, which hits the newsstands later this week, places North Haven at No. 86 out of the 2,876 small towns that were reviewed by magazine staffers, based on criteria that include financial, housing, education, quality of life, leisure and culture, and health.
Three other Connecticut towns made the list: No. 35, Rocky Hill; No. 53, Somers; and No. 68, Trumbull. Profiles of the Top 100 are on the magazine's Web site, cnnmoney.com. Middleton, Wis., topped the list and Hanover, N.H., was No. 2.

Yes, it is Connecticut, but our town government is solidly republican and it's not a bad place to raise kids.
I personally would have picked Greenwich and Simsbury as the top towns in Connecticut.
Of course, you do need money to live in places llike that.
Back in the 90s I found a book of the top 100 “Small Towns” in America. I now happily live outside one of those towns. (Not in CT)
I notice no towns in Florida, and hardly any in the Southeast. Surely SOMEBODY likes to go swimming or play golf in December!
My town is #37 on the list.
The evaluators must have assessed the Yale grounds, then had hoods put over their heads as they left town.
Don’t understand. North Haven, while next to New Haven, has nothing to do with Yale.
