This is EXACTLY how the "news alert" from the ASS press reads. I can smell the bias, can't you?

Yes. But in this case, they are right.
This bill, if passed, would have been a ‘surrender’.

guess being in the senate minority has its good points...
To: SoFloFreeper
Referring to it as a surrender actually seems biased in favor of the Republicans to me. Not that I’m complaining.

Pakistan must fear a civil war itself if it turns OBL over to the US.
You just have to think we know where he is but politics keeps us from taking him, be it Pakistan, Iran or Syria.

Hilarious to hear Harry Reid complain about needing 60 votes. A wahhhh- A wahhhhh
Republicans just continue to block votes....it’s all their fault!!! 300 amendments and we can’t work in a bi-partisan manner.....”Dedicated obstructionists” yeah, that’s what they are!!!

I don’t have a problem with this headline, it’s accurate and portrays Republicans who voted against withdrawal in a good light...though I doubt that was their intention.
Now, if smart, the Republicans will capitalize on this headline and start helping to reverse public opinion about the war instead of retiring to their Senate offices and letting the NYT’s dictate the tone until September.
What they did was good here, Leiberman included, but it’s worthless if they shut up and do not petitiion their citizens to examine the real facts on the ground and stay resolute.
