IMO he's a cross b/w Hal Lindsay and Tom Clancy. In a certain sense he's better than Lindsay because he lets the Scripture speak and ties it to current situations and information. He also delineates when he's speculating.
There may be someone better than Lindsay to compare Rosenberg to, but he was the first author that came to mind.

Speaking of Hal Lindsey, here is last weeks commentary, which is totally relevant to this topic and reads in part:
