The FBI is investigating an alleged human smuggling operation based in Chaparral, N.M., that agents say is bringing "Iraqis and other Middle Eastern" individuals across the Rio Grande from Mexico.
An FBI intelligence report distributed by the Washington, D.C. Joint Terrorism Task Force, obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com, says the illegal ring has been bringing Iraqis across the border illegally for more than a year.
Border Patrol officials in the area said they were unaware of the specifics of the FBI's report, and federal prosecutors in New Mexico told ABCNews.com they had no current cases involving the illegal smuggling of Iraqis.
The FBI report, issued last week, says the smuggling organization "used to smuggle Mexicans, but decided to smuggle Iraqi or other Middle Eastern individuals because it was more lucrative." Each individual would be charged a fee of $20,000 to $25,000, according to the report.
The people to be smuggled would "gather at a house on the Mexican side of the border" and then cross the Rio Grande into the U.S., the report says.

Good on her for that much. Wonder if she’s been getting a lot of ear chewing.
(All of the above...)
lol, not in this life. The only flag she saw was the American flag hanging from our front porch. :)
Maybe checking out the ties?
I’d be convinced......he’d need to go. Muey pronto!
off to the camps with you!
He’s escaping the ‘leo’ headed Sphinx!
A reasonable thing to say in most circumstances. But the problem here is that we don't really need ABC, or anyone else for that matter, to tell us that terrorists and other assorted "undesirables" are coming through our non existent southern border all the time.
GWB is certainly not the first US President to have expended no effort to secure our [southern] border. However, he is/has been President during the period in which Islamic terrorism has blossomed into outright war. This by his own admission and the cause of his stated goal of defending the country against this war of terror.. At the same time he has been the most openly vocal President in the cause of "open borders". A very serious contradiction.
In truth, it is fair and reasonable for any thinking person that does indeed believe we have an extremist enemy that is waging war on us to wonder what sort of dysfunctional reasoning can Mr. Bush be employing that he can, out of the same mouth, advocate war in Iraq and at the same time lobby an appallingly insecure border. Is one side of his brain communicating with the other?
Ross is not always correct with his reports, but we need to find out if this one’s true. And if it is, then Bush has GOT to go.
If it’s true, then I will support impeachment against Bush.
What boarder?
In what boarding house?
Is the boarding house near the border?
You make no sense.
Boarder indeed.
Code words...
Yep.
I'm just sorry the word 'muslim' wasn't brought up. I'd really of had some fun with her.

Muzzies will be duplicating more than Mosques and Islamic Wahhabi schools in the USA
Like the Mexican in one California town which is over 95% illegal aliens with a hispanic City Council - that closed down the traffic part of the police department permanently because illegal aliens were getting license and insurance and title checks, and speeding, and DUI arrests and tickets
They moved Nueveo Laredo, Mexico to America and let the dumb Gringos pay for everything
I'll bet she is. She used to be a census taker in Houston. She told me a very funny story.
Ditto!
FOTFLOL! They must be. Oh, Powerful Tie, I kneel before you...
I hope they all send in their “complaints” to whomever with the gubmint.
Yes. I fear the terrorists most because they want to kill us.
rolling!
-—”Everyone calm down, there are no Iraqis sneaking over the border into the United States. It is pure foolishness to think that”-—
Besides, the Iraqis are our buds!
