A few months ago I sent an email to my Senator , Barack Obama Messiah, about the comments that Harry Reid made that the 'War is Lost'... I dont have a copy of what I sent him but here is his response I just got:
From: senator_obama@obama.senate.gov [mailto:senator_obama@obama.senate.gov] Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 9:12 AM To: Subject: Message from Senator Barack Obama
Dear []:
Thank you for writing to share your views regarding the recent comments of Senate Majority Leader Reid on the situation in Iraq. I appreciate hearing from you on this issue.
As you know, Senator Reid has stated on numerous occasions that the "surge" is proving ineffective and that a political accommodation lies at the heart of the conflict in Iraq. Senator Reid has also explained that his statement that "the war is lost" represents his own personal view, rather than the view of the Democratic Caucus.
Today, more than three thousand brave young Americans are dead, and tens of thousands more have been wounded. Rather than be welcomed as "liberators," our troops have become targets of the exploding sectarian violence in Iraq. Our military has been strained to the limits, and the cost to American taxpayers has already reached hundreds of billions of dollars. It is time to turn the management of this conflict over to the Iraqis and remove our troops from harm's way.
Again, thank you for sharing with me your views on this issue. Please feel free to contact me in the future regarding this or other matters of concern to you.
Sincerely,
Barack Obama United States Senator
Thank you GENERAL Obama.
And on 9/11 the same numbers of American casualties came up as well.
Barrack Hussein, bite me green-suited ass!
Sincerely,
Barack Obama United States Senator
aka An Empty Suit that wants to be President.
Yes, let’s take advice on the WOT from a Muslim Communist. Sounds like a wonderful idea to me!
In other words, the war is lost.
What did you expect? Even Republicans in Congress have used nearly the same form letter for years now. “Thankyou, but.....”
It has been a long time since most of them care what we think. It is time to fire those who send such letters to the electorate. Sadly, perhaps it is even past time.
Fargin coward!
interesting that his signature doesn’t include his middle name
Dear Senator Obama....You are full of sh!t.
I see he leaves the “Hussein” part out of his signature.
I wrote to him, even if he isn’t my Senator, and asked him why he thinks we should pull out of Iraq because of all the lives lost when he told an audience last week at a southside church that gang violence in Chicago had claimed more lives this year (36) than all the Illinois lives lost in Iraq so far this year. What do we do, pull our police out of the southside of Chicago? He didn’t mention that as a solution to Chicago’s problems.
Letters to constituents, from most (definitely not all) Congressional offices, are just awful. In your average office, they're usually drafted by fresh-out-of-college kids with whatever talking points they have, and approved/signed by slightly more senior staffers, in response to letters & emails that too many Members never take the time to read. That's obviously the case with this letter.
Dear Senator Obama:
You have sent a letter explaining your present policy on the Iraq war. As one of your constituents, Id like to offer my opinion of it.
Today, more than three thousand brave young Americans are dead, and tens of thousands more have been wounded.
A high price to pay, to be sure. But its actually a lot less than I expected. And they have given their lives for a great cause and one that can be practically achieved.
Rather than be welcomed as "liberators," our troops have become targets of the exploding sectarian violence in Iraq.
Your statement is expressed as if these two things are mutually exclusive. They are not. If you look at the words of our troops and their officers, especially as the latest counter-insurgency strategy (misnamed the surge) takes hold, youll see that the vast majority of Iraqis do, in fact, welcome our troops and their actions in destroying Saddam and in fighting the Islamic fascists that seek to impose Sharia law on them. Its only the limited number of the latter (a great many of whom are not Iraqis) who are making American troops targets. And they are losing.
Our military has been strained to the limits, and the cost to American taxpayers has already reached hundreds of billions of dollars.
What do you think the price of failure will be?
It is time to turn the management of this conflict over to the Iraqis and remove our troops from harm's way.
Why? What your reasoning? Clearly the Iraqis cannot manage this conflict on their own at this time. I must ask what your motive is for pretending they can? If we do this, well temporarily save some American lives. Well also destroy a huge number of Iraqi ones and give Al-Queda access to vast resources and a huge propaganda victory to rally more forces around.
This sounds like wishful or partisan thinking, not a carefully considered strategic plan worthy of a Senator. Its far short of someone aspiring to the executive responsibilities of a President.
I think you meant "Barack Obama, Antichrist."
