Houston’s radiation would cover most of Texas with the fallout carried by the winds from the gulf. Mexico, when they accidentally set their crops on fire, covers all of TX in smoke and smog for months at a time.

As of today, there are only three potential sources of nukes: Russia, Pakistan and North Korea. We have a tight relationship with Pakistan regarding monitoring their stockpile. We know what capabilities the North Koreans have and it is highly unlikely they could (or would) source nukes to al Qaeda. That leaves Russia. Since 1992, we have had a cooperative (but quiet) relationship with the Russians regarding their stockpiles. Again, it is fairly unlikely that a warhead or tactical field nuke could end up in al Qaeda’s hands. Much more likely in my view are radiological (dirty) bombs or bioterrorism. That is what counter-terroism personnel in most large cities have been gearing up for, not nukes.

Good analysis. I think you’re right. I wasn’t really talking about that, though, I was addressing the question of whether or not there is a retaliation that could hurt the muzzies. I think there is. I think Mecca is their Achilles Heel. Now I know, Mecca is part of a country that is supposedly our ally. But if we did get nuked (and I agree with you that for now that prospect is slim), I think the concept of who is our ally would undergo a sudden and dramatic shift.

Not to mention what would happen inside the USA. If I were a leftist anti-American scum-bag traitor — that is, a Democrat — I would be very worried about what would happen to ME in the event of a major nuke attack on our country.

Mueller told NewsMax that at times, the threat feels so real he lies awake at night thinking about the prospect.....

While the borders remain open and pourous to many illegals and terrorists.(just thought I'd finish the sentance)

FYI. My husband and I are Great Lake boaters, we do most of our travels on Lake Erie but since Canadian water is only 15 miles from our marina we do cross borders quite a bit. In the past, we as well as fellow boaters have done so frequently and without EVER being boarded, in fact we have never heard of it happening. In the last several weeks the Coasties are out in force. We know of four vessels (friends) upon re-entering US waters have been bordered and searched. An I-68 pass is almost mandatory. The small coast town where are marina is located is full of border patrol and DHS vehicles. Something is DEFINITELY up.

I think everyone agrees that radiological bombs are more likely but I think you are overly sanguine about potential sources of fusion weaponry. Also, how would you "gear up" for a 10 megaton nuke anyway?

I guess we’re not safe anywhere.

I just hope they can’t do this. It seems far fetched to be able to carry this off in that many cities without being discovered first.

There are some cities in this country if hit with something like this could devastate the entire countries economy. I’m sure they know which, but I won’t say.

No I just do not see W doing that. He does not have the guts like Teddy Roosevelt.

Plus Islam has already declared war on our nation.

Mr.Jack Bauer, please pick up the RED courtesy phone. Mr. Bauer, the red courtesy phone please.

I laugh when I hear that comment. One of my previous assignments included work at a bunker in Belgium. One of my co-workers picked up the handset on a red phone in the back of the office. The White House answered. Oops. Don't use THAT phone.

“...these cities are New York, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Miami, Boston, Houston, and Los Angeles.” Do you think someone could negotiate San Francisco instead of Las Vegas?

If this happens — will be fight the way we should?

Depends on who is in power. Remember we must be aware of appearances and have the blessing of the U.N.
