WASHINGTON (AP) - The terrorist network Al-Qaida will likely leverage its contacts and capabilities in Iraq to mount an attack on U.S. soil, according to a new National Intelligence Estimate on threats to the American homeland. The declassified key findings, to be released publicly on Tuesday, were obtained in advance by The Associated Press.

The report lays out a range of dangers—from al-Qaida to Lebanese Hezbollah to non-Muslim radical groups—that pose a "persistent and evolving threat" to the country over the next three years. As expected, however, the findings focus most of their attention on the gravest terror problem: Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network.

The threat level should go up everytime Reid or Pelosi steps on the floor of the Congress.

It’s coming, but we can stop it. No more visas for Muslims, no more visa-waiver country Muslims allowed in. No more Muslims allowed into the United States. Period. Those here who are not citizens must leave. Then we can focus on keeping a close eye on those who have become citizens, and strip the citizenship from those who are working to destroy our country. Close the mosques on American soil, and close the schools. They have forfeited the right to live in the West, and betrayed our good intentions in allowing them to come here. Muslims, Bub-bye.

We can’t even secure our own borders.

So lets curtail the wiretap program, give terrorists assurances they will get public show trials, make sure nothing is used from an interrogation standpoint beyond “the hose” (pantyhose), etc. The RATS dont seem to realize civil liberties dont mean much if there is nothing left of you but a smoking hole in the ground.

” _Non-Muslim terrorist groups probably will attack here in the next several years, although on a smaller scale. The judgments don’t name any specific groups, but the FBI often warns of violent environmental groups, such as Earth Liberation Front, and others.”

They include feral dems in this list.

When it does come, I wouldn’t want to be here and be Muslim....The “good” ones are going to go down with the “bad” ones. I guess that is the price of silence......

You know, I hate talking about it, by I can't help but wonder.

What would happen to the political climate if AQ pulled off another hijack-bombing or some other big show about now?
Would the Pelotians and the Reidies black off and say, "Wait a minute, we really do face an enemy here"? Or would they step up the rhetoric and call for Bush's head even louder?
I would like to think the former. In reality, I think the latter.

Be strong, Mr. President.

We could if the government wanted to. If they would secure the borders with as much enthusiasm as they collect taxes, we would be a million times safer.

I agree with you. Go to any airport and get a taxi in this country, it’s scary. Had a run-in with a Moroccon and a Samalian last week in Denver. Filed a report on the skinny one.

Yes it is coming - but not this summer - and I'm not getting my panties in a ruffle over Cherkoff's "gut" feeling.

We know all attacks are years in the planning.

We also know they love the element of surprise.

Are we going to be hit again? Probably, but with all the media buzz right now and with everybody on high alert, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

No, they will immediately blame Bush for not being prepared. They will also say that the attack would not have happened if we wouldn’t have gone into Iraq. You can bet your house on it...

Funny isn't it? They can find you if you made a 10 cent error on your tax return but can't find the idiots trying to kill us.

That just shows you where the priorites are. PATHETIC!
