Look at the fun they're having with my comment on this story at Daily Kos. The body of my post there was:

Wed Jul 18, 2007 at 06:29:21 PM PDT At a reception that was decidedly upscale and beyond the reach of the average Democratic voter, Al Gore's daughter got married at a lavish Beverly Hills ceremony. On the menu at the "rehearsal dinner" was the endangered chilean sea bass (link to article about wedding and about fish's endangered status), for 75 people. It seems that the same people who preach self-abnegation for the average person, e.g. Al Gore in the US, and David Suzuki in Canada, have problems foregoing such luxuries as private jets, SUV's, tour buses and limousines. Big houses full of creature comforts are for them; "green" living is for the hoi-poloi. Though I am a liberal Democrat, I am ashamed that we share the hypocrisy of the right, and are equally out of touch with ordinary people. What can ordinary, hard working people who may be asked to pay a "carbon tax" be thinking?

If anyone thinks that Al Gore would provide leadership that any sane person could respect, think again.

Al Gore's Daughter Sarah Gets Married (link to article)

People Magazine (online)

SATURDAY JULY 14, 2007 11:30 PM EDT

By Ulrica Wihlborg The youngest of Al Gore's three daughters, Sarah Gore, 28, married businessman Bill Lee in Beverly Hills on Saturday, family spokesperson Kalee Kreider confirms to PEOPLE.

The bride, who is taking her husband's last name, wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier at the wedding, which took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Willie Nelson performed at the reception, according to a family friend who was there and described it as "a great party."

"As one person joked during the wedding toasts, global warming helped bring Sarah and Bill together," the family friend tells PEOPLE.

The Gore family hosted a rehearsal dinner for 75 family and friends the previous evening at Beverly Hills' Crustacean restaurant, a longtime favorite of the Gores.

Executive chef Helene An created a six-course tasting menu that included Chilean sea bass and roasted crab.

To further show the hypocrisy, this post was deleted once:

Your troll diary is BS. Just like your only other diary - JBG is a troll.

My other diary was about Thomas Eagleton's effort to better himself and function normally in the face of bi-polar disorder. The self-expressed ideology of that era was expressed in this Laura Nyro song, popularized on "Hair", (link to lyrics)

Song: Easy to Be Hard Lyrics

How can people be so heartless
How can people be so cruel
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no

And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who care about evil
And social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend

How can people be so heartless
You know I'm hung up on you
Easy to give in
Easy to help out

And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who say they care about social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no

Apparently, that compassion didn't extend very far, and the openness to debate doesn't either.
