I have ALWAYS noted that since 2000 (at least?), suddenly the Commie Dems were “blue”.
I refuse to use the term “red state” to associate with Republicans. We were NOT red when I was a child. Only commies were red. The media used to publish R’s as blue, not red.
I refuse to do that too. It bugs me when I see conservatives accept the MSM manipulation. Some idiot even started up a red state conservative blog.
Wikipedia has a pretty good write up of the switch: Red states. It was started in 1984 by the Communist Broadcasting Service, CBS. It took a while to catch on but by 2000 all the leftist MSM and even Fox News were on the same page.
