Our son is in delayed entry program. He goes to Chicago on Nov 4th.

He knows exactly what he is doing and it is a hell of alot more than giving up his job at $18 an hour and leaving a girlfriend behind hoping that she will feel the same when he gets out of bootcamp (Husband and I are secretely hoping she won’t).

This kid is no fool.

“This kid is no fool.”

Certainly not. I served two combat tours in Vietnam and would happily do it all over again, even knowing the outcome.

The military experience, in my humble opinion, is the most important educational opportunity that I ever experienced — and I have multiple graduate credentials including a terminal degree.
