Although lawyer (scum) are the giant sucking sound on the economy (see John Edwards for the definition) there's something a little pleasurable about uppity hybrids being sued for not living up to their uppityness.

he averaged just 32 miles per gallon in mixed city/highway driving

My 25 year old diesel VW pickup averages 43 mpg combined city/highway and cost me less than $2000 two years ago.

Hybrids are a joke.

I have never owned a vehicle that got the window sticker mileage. It’s about time some ambulance-chaser cashed in on this fraud, especially when it involves those snotty hybrids.

I never thought I’d see the word “Uppity” in a non-southern newspaper...especially one from Detroit.

Can people who know the plaintiff see him for false claims of saving the earth, when he bragged about his purchase of a gas-guzzling hybrid?

But after 6,000 miles of driving, True said he averaged just 32 miles per gallon in mixed city/highway driving.

Is Al Gore's 300 lb. carcass sitting in the passenger seat?

Realistic ratings would really give people a notion of what to expect if they invest in a hybrid. We get about 46-48 mpg in our Prius, and that is mostly highway driving. Around town it does much, much worse. But we were led to believe it would do BETTER in city driving (I think the sticker said 60 mpg). We like the car (sorry to the Prius-haters), but we were misled.

Sucker! BTW, the early Honda Accord Snob-mobile came without a spare. However, they provided a can of sealant for the flat tire.

Suckers!

sorry to the Prius-haters

I don't think they are Prius haters. They don't care for the liberals who drive them with uppity attitudes (seems to be the majority of the hybrid drivers). No doubt you're an exception, and are non-uppity.

Rush quoted a study that showed the energy used in construction combined with the expected life of the vehicle reveals the Hummer uses less energy than the Prius.

I have a Prius and I get from 48 at the worst to 58 at the best.

Unless of course my car is full of drugs and I’m running from the law at 100 mpg. Then it gets about 25.
