The paratroopers, armed with exercise rifles that shoot rubber bullets...Excuse me, but WHAT? These were American troops?

That’s funny. I’d like to have seen video of that.
If I were one of the jumpers, I think my first response woud’ve been:
Whaa? followed by my mouth being stuck in the wide open position and eyes blinking without seeing.

Patton would be rotating 360’s in his grave at the though of warriors armed with rubber bullets.

Yeah, why shoot rubber bullets if its an exercise? Either shoot the real thing, or blanks.

Hey, rubber bullets can sting and leave a nasty bruise. :-)

I’m sure they have rubber bullets to use in quelling riots and such, but “exercise rifles” and “rubber bullets” for a training exercise? Are they using Airsoft guns like kids play with? Way to bizarre.

I’ve never heard of “excercise rifles.” We used our issue weapons with blanks.

Conjures up an image of troops carrying pop-guns or Daisy rifles, doesn’t it?
