Odd. This is the equivalent of 11 Wal Mart stores across the US being closed for unspecified threats with no further information forthcoming. Given recent terrorist events in the UK, were I a citizen there, the cone of silence over this would be making me quite nervous.

Police said the closures affected stores in London, other locations in England, and Scotland and Wales.

A spokesman for South Wales police said the Tesco store at Riverside, Port Talbot, had been closed since Saturday afternoon and said officers would remain at the store for as long as necessary.

From a population perspective, it’s more like 55 Wal-Marts being closed across the U.S. without any explanation.

From a land mass perspective, it’s a bit like 11 Wal-Marts in Michigan being closed without any explanation.
