“Were up against it again, looks like”
Next will be the Dream Act. In that one, if an illegal alien manages to avoid being caught for 5 years they are granted amnesty.
What legislation is that? Any press releases that we can post as an article?
I must agree with you about the NAU part - I despise it, but that doesn't change the facts.
I expected that after the defeat of the amnesty bill, thy would spoon feed it to us in pieces.
Just have to keep fighting them.
Here’s the bill:

HCON 40 IH
110th CONGRESS
1st Session
H. CON. RES. 40
Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
January 22, 2007
Mr. GOODE (for himself, Mr. WAMP, Mr. JONES of North Carolina, Mr. PAUL, Mr. STEARNS, Mr. DUNCAN, and Ms. FOXX) submitted the following concurrent resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and in addition to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada.
Whereas the United States Departments of State, Commerce, and Homeland Security participated in the formation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) on March 23, 2005, representing a tri-lateral agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico designed, among other things, to facilitate common regulatory schemes between these countries;
Whereas reports issued by the SPP indicate that it has implemented regulatory changes among the three countries that circumvent United States trade, transportation, homeland security, and border security functions and that the SPP will continue to do so in the future;
Whereas the actions taken by the SPP to coordinate border security by eliminating obstacles to migration between Mexico and the United States actually makes the United States-Mexico border less secure because Mexico is the primary source country of illegal immigrants into the United States;
Whereas according to the Department of Commerce, United States trade deficits with Mexico and Canada have significantly increased since the implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA);
Whereas the economic and physical security of the United States is impaired by the potential loss of control of its borders attendant to the full operation of NAFTA and the SPP;
Whereas the regulatory and border security changes implemented and proposed by the SPP violate and threaten United States sovereignty;
Whereas a NAFTA Superhighway System from the west coast of Mexico through the United States and into Canada has been suggested as part of a North American Union to facilitate trade between the SPP countries;
Whereas the State of Texas has already begun planning of the Trans-Texas Corridor, a major multi-modal transportation project beginning at the United States-Mexico border, which would serve as an initial section of a NAFTA Superhighway System;
Whereas it could be particularly difficult for Americans to collect insurance from Mexican companies which employ Mexican drivers involved in accidents in the United States, which would likely increase the insurance rates for American drivers;
Whereas future unrestricted foreign trucking into the United States can pose a safety hazard due to inadequate maintenance and inspection, and can act collaterally as a conduit for the entry into the United States of illegal drugs, illegal human smuggling, and terrorist activities; and
Whereas a NAFTA Superhighway System would likely include funds from foreign consortiums and be controlled by foreign management, which threatens the sovereignty of the United States: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That—
(1) the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System;
(2) the United States should not allow the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) to implement further regulations that would create a North American Union with Mexico and Canada; and
(3) the President of the United States should indicate strong opposition to these acts or any other proposals that threaten the sovereignty of the United States.

That’s excellent. Thank you!

I know I said I'll not be posting over the weekend, but this is just too important to let pass. After this I'm gone for a couple days...
I got you Joe, but really not much we can go on but educated guesses. No real way to get any real hard data, and the government does their best to see there is none to get.
would identify vacant agricultural jobs that could be filled by as many as 1.5 million illegal aliens and new foreigners over five years.
Opening the front door for Al Qadah.
BUMP
this is the worst Congress ever
It’s like they want terrorist to obtain legal citizenship.
That calls for 3 1/2 months work per year. This does not show a desire for residency. It shows a take the money and run desire.
This Amnesty business is not to be taken lightly. I posted on my state board, well firstly “Vote for Hunter” and then went on to say” we need to keep it up, we have the momentum, let’s not squander it” and to no avail. I have a Patton mentality and I thought after Shamnesty was defeated was the best time to use that momentum and keep heating up those phone banks. I guess they weren’t with me. We wait for another attack to get fired up and when we stop one we go quiet. We should have used the momentum last time and kept setting those Washington phone banks and those of our Congressmen on fire. I encouraged them not to stop, to keep calling whenever they had an opportunity. Don’t be satisfied with, “ok Shamnesty is over, we can rest”, they are arrogant and won’t quit. We needed to keep calling them and telling them we didn’t care that their Shamnesty didn’t pass, we don’t want it and we want the fence, that is law built and our laws enforced, period.
I just called a local Conservative talk radio show host to tell him about these bills. He never heard of them. He said he will research them and have guests to discuss them. We’ll see what happens.
Your grandmother was being too kind, or too polite. I could say what they really are, but I’d probably get suspended.
Ahh geeez...here we go again.
Give the devil his due- it may be a lot tougher to rally people to defeat separate, smaller pieces of this sellout.
Phones need to start ringing...AGAIN.
Benedict Bolshevik Arnolds.
What they can't push through the front door, they'll sneak through the back.
We need to define this bill in very simple terms so we can relay this info to others.
People understood 'no amnesty'.....
..and now they need to understand very specificly what this bill means and and they need talking points when they make their calls.
FYI
Only a minute minority are clueless, lazy bums who follow like sheep. Most of the basta*ds know EXACTLY what they are doing and that what makes them very dangerous.
I wake up today and first thing I see is this treason perpetrated by the TERMITES, AKA Congress, working so hard in the middle of the night to destroy this country.
I guess they will not cease and desist until this problem is solved in the streets and they are put on trial for treason.
Regarding your post #40:
Think about what happens when we (US) basically allow the free flow of “migrants” into our country. A very high percentage of them are miscreants and, I love this one “eeevviiil-doers” to quote Jorge. Proof of this is in the numbers who are scamming the taxpayers through HUD, Welfare and other give away programs. I shouldn’t have to point out the obvious like how many are residing inside the walls of our prisons at the expense of the US taxpayer. These people are leaches.
So.... if we allow millions more of these parasites into our country without much more than a cursory (feel-good) back ground check.... that can only mean that sooner or later....most likely sooner... we will ALL be subject to much more draconian laws.... to keep all of us serfs in line.
Apparently no one in government has the mental capacity to think these things through.
If we need a guest worker program to get billions of strawberries picked, fine, implement one. Have the prospective employer post $1000.00 bond for each picker...if the picker disappears, the employer loses the $1000.00 and the picker then faces immediate deportation upon being caught and should be barred for life from returning to the US. If the employer thinks about running a scam on the government that lets the picker “go” for the price of lets sayyyyy $3000.00....well, after three pickers have absconded, the employer loses his business license.
This of course must take place after a serious effort is made at border security, like a physical wall.
Build the wall, then we’ll talk.
There is NO compelling reason to grant a “temporary worker” the privilege of a “pathway to citizenship” (Amnesty), none what so ever.
