My post above gives Michelle Malkin’s continuing reporting on this matter. With all (or any) due deference to Geraldo Rivera, his stance on CIR puts a definite spin on anything he says on the issue. The facts seem otherwise. If you are a deportable alien in the 1990s you remain one, whether the feds “lose track” of you or not. I will believe Michelle’s reporting over Geraldo’s ever time.

I agree completely about Geraldo. He has no objectivity left on the immigration issue. In addition to claiming the guy is a naturalized citizen (for which I can find no confirmation) he threw a hissie fit that the man is being described as an illegal, going into a moralistic sermon about how FOX et al have done a disservice by linking the issue to illegal immigration.

I suspect he might be assuming the man is legal because he is registered to vote, rather than entertaining the possibility that his voter registration could be fraudulent.

Meanwhile, one newspaper is already doing its bit to humanize this monster. Get this from a Seattle rag:

According to the report, Adhahn was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and spent his early years with his mother and an alcoholic, abusive father. When his parents divorced, Adhahn and his siblings moved in with grandparents in a rural area, where they sometimes went without food.

During the evaluation, Adhahn said he had been repeatedly raped by an older brother, according to the report.

Please excuse me. I need some Kleenex.
