Reporters want to be able to spin anything their way, make it anti Bush, anti war, anti everything. But when the other side tries the same tactic, they hate it and yell to the high heavens. Tough s*** dingbats.

I find their snipping at Smith to absolutely infantile.

What? Bow-Tie Ken Bacon wasn’t a Clinton hack?

So he hasn’t given a press conference? Big effin’ deal. Ya think he might just be empowering the many other people who work in DoD public affairs? What a novel concept. The poor Pentagon reporters. have to walk around and ask questions. Poor babies.

See? I’ve gotten myself started.

The real reason for the hit piece is in the opening line:

“Dorrance Smith, a former ABC News producer...”

He’s left them and go to the “dark side.” If it was the other way he would be hailed as an informed insider pundit.
