Murtha, in both his capacity as a US Representative and further, on his own on numerous televesion interviews, presented 2 specific charges against the Marines of 3/1 Kilo, the second being that there was a coverup.
As if taking orders directly from Murtha, the Marine Corps has levelled both charges against individual members of that illustrious unit, with 3 charged with murder and 4 charged with other crimes such as dereliction and obstruction, including one of most honorable and recognized battalion commanders in theatre, Lt. Col Chessani, who has just been ordered to stand court martial for what appears to be nothing more than not beginning an investigation/poring over the scene the very same night as the ambushes. I would like to think that anyone in their right mind would realize that to visit the scene of coordinated attacks and ambushes on his own at night - THAT night would be certain suicide, but WTH do I know, I'm not a Marine, much less a NCIS REMF.
All these guys will need help, so the billboard will be a ways down the road, but I just had an idea on bumper stickers that I need to run by RedRover.
