Extrapolating on my last comment, if Cindy had fallen in with a group of FReepers after her son’s death, they would have stood beside her, prayed for her, propped her up, and let her know in no uncertain terms how noble Casey’s sacrifice was to the preservation of freedom in a world beset by terrorists. Instead, she went with the DU-type bunch, all of whom could only offer her, “Hate Bush like WE do!”

She chose poorly.

Well said.

She is a tragic figure. Her son was a hero. It is heartbreaking that she does not see that and only sees him as a “dupe”. She certainly dishonors his memory, and I pray that someday soon she will realize that. I am afraid it will be a horrendous reckoning for her when that time comes.
