What section of the traffic code is this from?
***I got the information by reading the article and I’m not advocating that it did meet the requirements stated, it was obvious that it did not.

If you are in CA and have just received a red light camera ticket from any city, check it carefully before you do anything!

Look for the court’s name and address on it. If that info isn’t on the ticket, then what you have really isn’t a ticket. It is a notice that the police send out in an attempt to trick you, the registered owner, into verifying who was driving the car. Which could be you, or someone else. Even though the notice looks a lot like a real red light camera ticket, since it has not been filed with the court you do not have to respond to it. It has less legal weight than the piece of paper it is printed on.

These fake tickets are called a “Snitch Ticket.” For info about them, Google the term, or go to the Your Ticket page at the non-commercial website http://www.highwayrobbery.net

For more info about the MRCA cameras in the parks, go to the MRCA section on the Cameras Page, same website.
