I’m not sure how many people know this, but Katherine Hepburn had a disorder called “Essential Tremor” which eventually will make your voice like that and your hands and head shake. It is sometimes wrongly diagnosed as Parkinson’s or drug abuse. How do I know? I have it.

It is a non-fatal, non-life threatening disorder that I have had since I was about 12. It seems to be inherited. Stress and caffeine can make it worse. It can also mess up your hand writing, keep you from getting a good steady grip on a glass, or make you avoid soup because you can’t hold the spoon steady.

I just thought I would explain what may make his voice sound like that.
