Lyndon treated that poor woman like dirt, but she loved her man and was loyal to him and his memory.

In high school ( a million years ago), I was an intern at KTBC-TV in Austin. I remember seeing Mrs. Johnson around the offices from time to time.

She was part of a generation of tough, classy, Texas womanhood that has almost completely vanished. Sorta sad.
