My question - if the earth is warming on it’s own, should humans do anything to stop such a natural cycle?

Another question along the same lines: If warming is happening, regardless of the cause, why is it a bad thing? We know that the Medieval Warming Period was a time of great prosperity and bounty. If we are warming now, and I have yet to be convinced that this is indeed occurring, why should we be afraid of it, unless that fear is the driving force behind folks like the "Profit Owl Gore"....

Living under the thumb of nuts like the Profit Owl Gore, now that is something to be feared!

NO!

First of all, we haven't been able to alter the environment on a global scale by doing what we are doing already. Why should we believe we even have the ability to alter the environment in a way we want it to change?

Second, if we could change the environment, I believe the risk of unintended consequences would be enormous.

Let nature take it's course and adapt.
