That’s why it’s okay that Kaleb took Rahab as his wife. That’s why it’s okay that Boaz took Ruth as his wife ... and from their union was born Obed (’worship’), named by the neighbors attending Ruth in her delivery. That’s why Jesus has Rahab and Ruth in His lineage.
