Does the Constitution give Congress the authority to execute wars?
I am under the understanding that Congress votes for wars and then they fund them. I am under the understanding that the President listens to his Generals and makes decisions.
Something change around here? How can Congress pass laws the effect the execution of a war?
Seems to me that Congress is stepping over their boundries set by the Constitution.
Don't we have a separation of powers?
You have a good point, and in the event that Congress passes something, it might go straight to court like everything else in this war. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200..
