Furthermore, you state that federalism and the founding ideals of the Republic should be set aside in times of severe national insanity, such as the climate prior to the Roe vs Wade decision? Your position seems to state that the right of life and the protection of the common good should supersede local and state laws.

Of course it does. That's the explicit reason we have a Union, and why human government even exists. The men who founded the United States called this fact "self-evident." It's sad that today you have to argue in favor of something they believed was so obvious that it was beyond argument.

The protection of life and liberty is the very reason given by the founders for the very existence of our nation.
