Checked in at Versus a few minutes ago. Only two in the breakaway and only 1’ out front.

Stage 3 - Tuesday, July 10: Waregem - Compiègne, 236.5km
By Tim Maloney, European Editor (Cycling News)

This is the longest stage of the Tour de France and after a taste of the Classics the day before, Stage three will pass through locales like Wallers, Denain and Solesmes that are familiar to Paris-Roubaix. The stage then passes through Fontaine-au-bois, the home town of former Tour boss Jean-Marie Leblanc. The rolling course with a following wind should provoke an early breakaway that will come back for another massive sprint.

Climbs:
Km 202: Côte de Blérancourt: 1.0 km climb @ 4.6% avg. grade / 4th Cat.

Sprints:
Km 33.5: Tournai (Belgium)
Km 104.5: Fontaine-au-Bois
Km 167.5: Achery

A break has a chance today, but look for it to go on the Cat. 4 climb before the finish.

Haven’t seen it, is it played in the TDF coverage?

I haven’t seen it, but I did read that there was a big pile-up today.

Dang, had to be on the road this morning - missed the race. I checked in with versus and saw the final standings and the race summary. I’ll have to watch the 8:00PM coverage tonight.

Close finish, the breakaway almost took it.

Sorry, the big crash was yesterday. The page heading for the stage didn’t match the date of the report under it.

Same here. One of these years.

I’d love to take part in these threads but I have to watch night coverage. Maybe this weekend. :)

Yesterday’s crash was brutal looking. How many ended up injured?
