Sin is sin, I did not know God rated it on a scale. This was BEFORE he ran for the senate, he has asked God and his family to forgive him. I do not expect my elected officials to be without sin. I elect them based on their voting record.
What he did in his personal life is less offensive to me than an elected official who runs on a less govt platform then goes to Washington and steals my tax dollars and spends like a drunken sailor. Or one who says he will never support amnesty then goes to Washington and votes for it.
But you holier than thou voters have every right to vote for a candidate based on their personal life, and when you find one that is perfect let us all know who he is.
I believe that God did rate it - let me refresh your memory, it's number SEVEN - Thou shalt not commit adultery. Remember the Ten Commandments?
My suspicion is that Vitter's office will hear fewer negative comments about this than it did when he "got in bed" with Rudy Giuliani.
It is not a question of being perfect. Are your standards so low that frequent visits to Whore houses are not considered, well, kinda awful and disgusting? He has apparently used them in different states. Seems to have been a habit not a “poor choice”.
Again, I'm extremely disappointed at the garbage defenses I'm seeing here. You're all making the same defenses that liberals did for Clinton, and there's no difference. Shameful. Just because someone "votes the right way" doesn't mean he belongs there.
