Sorry to sound cruel, but I wouldn't let my kid anywhere near a pool with a kid with HIV. The health of my child comes before the emotional wellbeing of the infected, or his parents.

It's not the child's fault it got HIV, it's not my fault to not want anything to do with it either.

It is ok for you to be cautious. The parents of the child should also be cautious. I am no doctor but I thought people with HIV or AIDS should be careful about picking up things from OTHER people. I would not want the tyke potentially swallowing pool water, etc. An infection or bug that a so-called normal person can handle can endanger someone with compromised immunity. I think.

I agree with the park owner. HIV/AIDS is too serious to take a chance, no matter who the person is. I feel sorry for the family and the little boy.....but that’s the way it is.

I'm getting to where I wouldn't share a public pool at all. And also these hot tubs at hotels and gyms - you couldn't pay me to get into one of those things.

To think of all the times your family has been ‘In contact’ with someone with HIV/Hepatitis and any of the other illnesses out there makes you statement more laughable. For every person that tells everyone they have a disease, there are 5 that don’t tell or don’t know yet.
