Foxx, let me ask you this: Did the disciples on the road to Emmaus understand they were receiving truth from the Lord as he unfolded the scriptures to them because of the spirit manifesting it’self to their hearts?

Scripture is revelation by God, written down by Man. It comes by the spirit, and is understood by the spirit to all who read it and seek truth by the spirit.

The fact that there are thousands of Christian religions who understand the scriptures differently surely must make our God weep for mankind, for they deny the gifts of the spirit, and lean unto their own understanding.
