I really don't understand why you posted what you did. I said I had a problem with the way the LDS church sugar coats their history. So I am nimrod and an idiot because of that?
As a home school parent I have never sugar coated the history of our country. Many times we have strayed from the history texts. I am just as proud of my Native American blood as all the rest that run through me.
realize how much good the LDS people are or how much they help the poor or how they are always right behind the Red Cross in any dist aster around the world or how they emphasize familiesI hope this doesn't come as a shock to you but other churches do the same. They just don't brag about it. I was very surprised to find out that non mormon missionaries went out and actually did things. They help build schools and just so many different things plus bring their own supplies. They don't wear suits and knock on doors.
Non LDS churches run food pantries for the poor, house the homeless, help out when members are sick, mow yards, bring food, and so much more. I don't know why so many members think they are special and they are the only ones that do that.
Giving money to a church should come from the heart. I have actually helped with food more than once to members who paid their 'tithe' but couldn't feed their families or lost their electricity because tithing came first. Yes God will find a way for the faithful that pay honest tithing. What I never told one LDS lady was the food we brought for her family came from a local church pantry. That church never questioned the need of the food for the LDS family.
Families are just as important to non LDS churches as they are to the LDS.

That is a first for me. We don't use that sort of language in our home. Even growing up in a Catholic home I never heard foul language. Must be a mormon thing.

I am a convert and did my own homework one on one with the Lord and reading everything I could both LDS and Anti LDS.
