I think it does have to do with the summer vacation months. Although folks are getting tired of seeing the same type of guests over and over again. No bias there of course./sarc

I can’t say too much about Johnston, he died early in the war.
He did make some mistakes but I myself believe he did the best as he could given the task that laid before him.

the
Day by Day Cartoon web comic that is posted on many conservative blogs (I read it regularly on Captain's Quarters) has been doing a great story arc on the "reporters" filing their stories from their hotels in the Green Zone based on "tips" from their (Al Qaeda) stringer, "Khalid." It's really spot on. According to several reports I've seen it's a popular web comic with the troops.
The story line really got going with a classic on Sunday, April 1st and is still going strong.

I believe that Rupert Murdoch is backing Hillary. Murdoch probably has surmised that Hillary winning the White House as a win win. A situation that's good for business. Hillary would unite conservative opposition resulting in increased Fox viewership.

Per the MTP round table discussion, the GOP is falling apart because historically, we always pre-select a Presidential candidate because its his turn. This time around the DBM tried to pre-select our "top three" candidates. It isn't working as per the latest Rasmussen poll.

Yes, Hoekstra did do a very good job.
The difference between Republicans and Democrats: With Republicans, the Front on the GWOT is in Iraq, A-stan, the Philippines, Somalia and the Horn of Africa. With Democrats, the Front is in NYC and DC.

This really is one of the most egregious of the many many sins of the current crop of pseudo-Journalists running the US Politically Corrupt media. The mere rumor that 8 Terrorists were executed by Marines in Fallugha has been repeated a number of times this week by the PC media as "fact" meanwhile real atrocities by Al Qeda go unreported. Unbelievably despicable that so called "Journalists" in Europe and the USA can allow their partisan political bigotry to totally so overcome their duty as "Journalists" that they are willing to cover up what these Al Qeda scum are doing in Iraq. Yes there's a DBM news blackout about Al Qaeda-in-Iraq.
To: snugs
No, no news today yet. I’m praying and awaiting a call from my Sis. Sending more prayers that her strength increases and she hangs on for ventilator removal and recovery.

I think Mara Lyasin on the FNS panel outed the dim thinking on this:
(paraphrasing) Although it won't be (allowed to be) a long-term issue, Bubba voiced the Bush-Libby "going around the law" for the short-term gain with the dim base.
That is to say, the dim base was athirst for continuing Bush Bash, and its arrival from Clinton lips was caused to happen (via the War Room handlers) to help Hillary with the moonbats, perhaps for (the all-but-lost) Iowa caucuses, but certainly for getting her (OK, "it") a lifeline for her ailing (think negative polls and self-inflicted divisiveness and ugliness) candidacy. This is an ad hoc attempt at generating momentum, relative Barry "Former Muslim" Hussein.
Because getting to a debate on the past use of presidential pardon prerogative--BTW, part of the law, not "going around" it--is not a dim long-term winning issue. Clearly, there is risk to them in letting this come out in such a vulnerable way. Should we arrive at the point in time when the issue would go south for the dims, they and their fifth column are believed to be able to be effective in killing any potential continuing discussion.
Bottom line: Bashing the Bush commutation is a sign of Hitlery's weakness"
