Ping!
I like Romney, but I’m a down home FredHead...But Romney’s better than some of the GOP Crap floating around out there.
Precious Willard is the bottom of the barrel. Abandoned his state to a Marxist rodent successor, reduced the state GOP’s presence to 12% (!) of the legislature, zero federal officeholders and zero statewide, only 1 GOP Mayor of any size in the state. Flipflopping phony, johnny-come-lately. I mean, WHAT leadership is this newspaper talking about ? He was the best thing that ever happened to the MA rodents, well, 2nd best after his hero, the party-consuming Slick Willie Weld. Weld built the coffin for the party, Romney nailed it shut. Case closed. Presidential material NOT.
Loved this endorsement! I’ve been saying for awhile that Romney is the only one with the track record we need. He’s a proven executive, he’s tackled (and won) some hard problems, and he stands up to opposition.
What opposition exactly did he stand up to ? I’m very curious, because this is Romney we’re talking about. Y’know, the guy who suffered a single setback, and decided he didn’t want to be Governor anymore... he wanted to be President instead. What vanity, what ego... what a RINO.
Okay, fieldmarshaldj, why not fess up? Just let us know which candidate you are working for. (Oh, and we’ll eliminate Romney for you, so don’t pick him. OK?)
Thank you things humming along nicely, there is ways too go yet, no sense in rushing it!
Stop whining.. you just make Fred Thompson look bad with that kind of desperate tone.. I know the old man is having a bad weekend but get a grip.. I’m sure one of these days he will get into this race.
You too, eh?
I’m with Fred...but I guess Romney would be my second choice. I’d take him over McCainiac any day.
And, he's squeaky clean too. No lobbying for Aristide, Watergate mole, PAC money to kids stuff, which the dems can use against him (whether any of that junk the dems throw out there is true or not, why give them the ammunition against us?).
Mitt will be able to argue effectively -- as a clean-slate-outsider -- against the culture of corruption in Washington and why Americans should choose not to go backwards with the Clintons.
What a great post. It’s spot on. Thanks! :-) These are exactly the reasons that I support Mr. Romney — business and government experience and success as well as proven leadership.
You were saying something about sounding desperate and making your own candidate look bad?
If we pick Fred instead of Mitt we lose so many of our best arguments to use against the dems.
Fred is not even running. Remember?
I do like the cigar. Nice touch.
I guess you’re not familiar with his record. Look up his association with the Olympics and his term as Gov (esp in relation to the Big Dig).
And he did try to run against MA’s big (and I do mean BIG) hero, Teddy, for Senate.
And, yes, he did decide he wanted to run for President. He’s 60, and this next election there isn’t an incumbent. That might not happen again in his lifetime - after all, it hasn’t happened since 1928.
I think that was a smart decision. And don’t all of the candidates have the same thought in mind?
So who is your second choice? Hunter? this might be a good time for FreadHeads to start contemplating their second choices..
