I am old enough to understand there are many ways of perceiving the world into which we have been placed. As such, I recognize your prerogative to indulge fancies in verbal form. At the same time, it is equally apparent that we are only slightly more enlightened, both spiritually and intellectually, than tadpoles.
As for the title of this article, it too errs in asserting evolution to be "preposterous." The theory of evolution is reasonable in most every way. Anyone who accepts its general tenets (such as uniformitarianism, which of itself is not at all preposterous) may reasonably conclude we are observing the results of a process taking billions of years.
Meanwhile, to suggest God must stoop to your level in creating and maintaining the universe by means of evolution is a prima facie denial of His omnipotence, not to mention the plain texts He has placed into our midst to make known His works and ways.
Well, it destabilizes them every time. I can’t believe they fall for the bait.
An outright lie.
Well said. However, the evolutionist does not admit that it is an act of faith that replaces their missing evidence. Instead, they will insist that such evidence already exists and then ridicule others for doubting its existence.
Incidentally, it takes far more faith to be an evolutionist than it does to be a religionist. It is more probable for a tornado to strike a junkyard of spare airplane parts and leave a fully assembled Boeing 747 in its wake than it is for life to have formed out of inorganic matter.
Congragulations! You've won first prize!
One more time for those in the back row:
I need look no further than this statement:
One of the main reasons so many books by atheist writers have appeared recently is because of the "intelligent design" concept in the USA....walks away shaking head very sadly.
Even money on your post surviving. I’m pulling for ya!
How nice. I see that it was easier for you to respond with a bigoted insult than provide any evidence. Does this bigotry extend into other areas of your life as well?
A lawyer talking about God, and blasting science. Coulter jumped the shark with that one.
“...you have a severe case of recto-fossal ambiguity.”
LMAO. Thank you.
ping to myself
What kind of evidence were you expecting to your 'An outright lie'?
And please explain what 'bigotry' you see in that cartoon, other than an ignorant and arrogant fundie?
You were the one claiming that there was "literally mountains of ancient evidence" supporting Darwinian evolution. I challenged you on it. The intellectually honest thing to do would have been to show that such a quantity of evidence exists. It is quite revealing that you failed to take that action.
And please explain what 'bigotry' you see in that cartoon, other than an ignorant and arrogant fundie? You just exhibited it. Do you really believe that bigotry is excused as long as it is directed towards Christians?
Let's review, shall we? I challenge you on your claim that mountains of evidence exists supporting Darwinian evolution. Your response was to launch a bigoted insult against fundamentalist Christians. Is this your standard debating tactic?
I'm just trying to figure out what I can post. Has the original version of my 108 (I believe it was numbered "56"), been deleted?
Oops. No, it's still up. The original Jim Robinson post containing the immortal line, "Up yours, asswipe," is still there. So obviously, the words, "Up yours, asswipe," can't be the problem. Clue us in, so we don't keep offending.
OK! I lost my @$$ on the first bet. This time, I’m bettin’ double agin ya!
you’re just being deliberately disruptive now.
