However, the Little Joey Sandwich stuff is bunkum.
But hey: Whatever floats your Steven King bone.
Yes. I read the book. Simply horrifying and should open our eyes.
The fact is...they have shown beyond a shadow what they are capable of, and while cannibalism has been used as a standard tool to discredit a foe in many cultures over the centuries, forced cannibalism is easily possible with these people.
Look what Saddam did to his foes...electric drills in the head and so on. Forced cannibalism is easily believable to me.
You terrify them to what you’ll do if they decline. I don ‘t doubt this is possible, but would like more evidence.
Can't recall who it was - Mad Ivan ? - well one of those sickos used to do this - but the parents didn't know until after they ate and were asked if they enjoyed the meal.
ROFL !
“He is simply relating his firsthand experience as he watched the US officer translate this particualr rumor. He does NOT say it is fact, and is not related to the reader that way.”
You are correct!
Actually I doubt it had much to do with conversion as you and I probably think of the word. Much more like subversion or crushing I suspect. Raw intimidation. This is completely oriental and not at all inconsistent.
-Two cannibals are eating a clown. One says to the other, “Does this taste funny to you?
-That reminds me of the cannibal that passed his friend in the woods.
-When do cannibals leave the table? When everyone’s eaten.
-What is a cannibal’s favorite type of TV show? A celebrity roast.
-What did the cannibal get when he was late for dinner? The cold shoulder.
-What is a cannibal’s favorite game? Swallow the leader.
-Did you hear about the cannibal who loved fast food? He ordered a pizza with everybody on it.
-Did you hear about the cannibal who was expelled from school for buttering up his teacher?
-Cannibal’s recipe book: How to Serve Your Fellow Man.
-Two cannibals were sitting by a fire. The first says, “Gee, I hate my mother-in-law.” The 2nd replies, “So, try the potatoes.
-A man gets captured by cannibals and every day they poke him with spears and use his blood to wash down their food. Finally the guy calls the chief over and says, “You can kill me or you can eat me, but I’m tired of getting stuck for drinks.”
-What did the cannibal say when he was full?
I couldn’t eat another mortal.
-One day a cannibal visited the neighboring island of cannibals. There, people cost $2 but politicians cost $25. The visiting cannibal asked, “How come politicians cost so much?” The chief answered, “Do you know how hard it is to clean one of those?”
That is what I was thinking as well.

China uses fetuses & executed political prisoners in makeup. When questioned by the Guardian (UK), they said it was no big deal, they didn’t export the collagen.
Vile doesn’t even begin to cover it. I am at a loss for words...
and the reports of millions of jews disappearing in germany was even harder to believe because no one could dispense of that many people without someone hearing about it...
though corraboration would be nice.

Jeffrey: "That's okay, ma...just eat the salad."
Yon has some first-hand photos on his site of a town where troops found skulls from decapitated children. But in this case Yon is clear it's not his story. He's relating someone else's testimony and doesn't imply the story has been vetted as of yet. At first it is unbelievable because we were 'protected' by our gov and media from even seeing what 9/11 was really like. We were spared the splattered corpses and the sight of burn victims and incinerated bodies. But on reflections we shouldn't be surprised because this sort of thing really isn't unknown, certainly not in a war zone or in a region of the world where stoning the rape victim, sawing off the heads of defenseless prisoners, or fitting your kid for a suicide belt isn't unheard of, but rather common. By all means consider it unverified because so far it is. But don't be so sure it couldn't happen.
The previous regime tortured soccer players for losing games, abducted young women for concubines, tested chemical weapons on prisoners, imprisoned toddlers and other children of dissidents, put people in plastic shredders, fed people to lions, dogs and so on, forced doctors to remove the ears of deserters, etc. Why should it shock us that al Qaeda, even more anarchic than Saddam's regime and desperately in need of manpower because it's been getting its butt kicked all over the world, would torch someone's child to intimidate the families and neighbors into providing aid, intel or even young unwitting fighters to save themselves from the same fate?
After so recently hearing the news in our own country of the houseful of snakes who tortured a boy by repeatedly tying him up in the bathtub where his own mother poured boiling water on him enough times to leave his hands and feet mutilated beyond recognition before she eneded up buried in the back yard, why do Americans still harbor the belief that al Qaeda might have qualms about scorching a boy to strike fear in the local populace?
There are cases where families have been first bribed to turn over boys to the terrorists to be used as scouts, bomb-delivery systems and fighters ... with quite a bit of cash. If the bribe doesn't persuade then the terrorists simply use fear. They get the village's able-bodied boys or they start killing kids in creative ways - burning a victim or two could just be one method - until they get the cooperation of the villagers, and kill any adult who balks. The terrorists, many of them foreigners- have already demonstrated they're not above strapping bombs on retarded people who don't know any better and sending them against a checkpoint. What does a palestinian, a Yemeni or Chechnyan care if an Iraqi gets wasted?
My nephew came back from there and said the terrorists would use people by sending unarmed people forward to rush US troops' camps over and over just to provoke a shooting incident, to distract us or Iraqi troops, or to spot weaknesses. While some of these may have been volunteers- [US ROE has hands so tied they aren't shot on sight] it is probably just as likely some are people who have been abducted and forced to do it knowing that if they don't, their families will be killed.
Islam is a blood-thirsty cult.
Better be careful if you attend a potluck down at the mosque. You just never know...
It’s kind of silly that even so many folks who say they’re Christians don’t believe that people can be inhabited by demons, as if times have changed for them.
