Hate to tell you this, but one reason dengue has become a problem in South Texas is that the State of Texas Health Department refused to cooperate with the Mexican State of Tamaulipas and “Project Hope” in a joint mosquito eradication program. At the time, then Governor George W. Bush had a moronic public health commissioner who claimed there was no problem. With the climate of south Texas, yeah, there is a problem.
