DES MOINES — Joseph Biden, the Delaware Democrat running for president, is a man of strong opinions. During a campaign event in a Des Moines backyard today, Mr. Biden had some choice words for President Bush and two of the Republicans running for the White House.

“This guy is brain dead,” Mr. Biden said to surprised applause and laughter from the crowd. “I know I’ll be quoted, I’ll be killed for that.”

“This is a guy who is on the balls of his heels, here’s a guy who is lower off in the polls than any president in modern history and he goes ahead and he does something that just flies in the face of the sensibilities of the American people.”

A few minutes later, Mr. Biden turned his sights on Rudolph W. Giuliani....

It was brain dead for Biden to steal lines from Neil Kinnock.

He comes off like someone desperate for attention. Attacking the President sure is risky, eh?

Whatever his flaws, I think we have passed a sad milestone in terms of political discussion under Bush--SO much nasty, insulting stuff has been said about him that there simply is nothing that is too far when it comes to criticizing the President of the US.

I'm not talking about criticizing policy, which is always fair game, but the incessant personal insult that's gone on throughout his presidency. Biden's comments might have grabbed front-page headlines years ago. These days, you see it on every op-ed page.

Yep, that’s right Senator. The only people with a lower approval rating than Jorge Bush are in the Senate and House of Representatives. What’s that Senator?

Whats so tough about attacking a guy h knows wont fight back.?

For 8 years now they have been attacking George Bush ,while George just stand around and takes it.

Biden knows the Republicans wont stand up for Bush, he knows Bush wont stand up for himself,so he also knows he is getting free punches at the george Bush punchinmg bag,and someone calls that being tough???

Not in my book it isnt. Lets hear Biden attack islamics or terrorists and see how tough he really is.

Biden is a Candy ass.

LOL!

Perfect.

Biden doesn’t seem to realize that what he thinks is “tough” is actually laughable. He comes off like the wimp who talks about how he’s gonna beat someone up if he ever sees him again, and everyone smiles. He thinks it’s because they believe his BS, but actually they all think he’s a loser.

Doesn’t that quote make you cringe? Not as much as Biden’s grin, but pretty bad.

Lets hear Biden attack islamics or terrorists and see how tough he really is.

I'm sure he'll just say Bush has done it wrong, and he'll do it better, or something else nebulous enough not to be seen as attacking the terrorists.

I keep thinking of him snarling during the Clarence Thomas hearings. What a total d***.

The roots of Biden’s plugs have obviously now completely filled his skull.

His hair needs to be “re-potted”.

If Anne Coulter, or any republican had made this statement, it would be considered hate speech. But from a democrat its tough talk.

Biden is an idiot and this just proves it. The left loves his “tough talk”...so do the terrorists. The real question is: from whom did Biden steal this line?

You won’t catch him in any damn Dunkin Donuts either... hobnobbing with all those Indians. His porcelain choppers don’t fare well with yeast products.
