Headline-wise, it's hard to tell which Al Gore will be taking center stage at "Live Earth"--- the one with rocks in his head, or the one who likes it "on-the-rocks"...

I feel sorry for young Al. Look who is father is. Gore the younger should be grateful that he didn’t kill anyone while driving under the influence.

If Live Earth does for Earth what Live Aid did for Africa, we’re all doomed.

25 years from now mention the name Al Gore and the likely response would be “Wasn’t he the guy that almost got the industrialized west to commit economic suicide before the Ice Age started?”

They should get the whole damn family up on stage and have them chase each other with butterfly nets.

Rush was going on about the electricity expended for the shows, the jets to take the “stars” to the venues, and the overall footprint these events will leave. Quelle hypocrisy!

Eco-hypocrite is more like it.

Raising awareness??? People are not aware that AlGore is concerned?
I wonder how much over-priced, sweatshop produced, throwaway junk they’ll be selling at these venues?

The good news is that you know an issue is pretty much spent as a societal force when they start doing (Fill-In-The-Blank)AID concerts. Everybody goes out and has a good time, and they go back home and think it’s a good thing they solved that problem, whatever it was.
(Fill-In-The-Blank)AID is the second-to-last step before exhaustion of an issue. The final step before exhaustion, of course, is when John F’n Kerry makes it his Top Priority.

Rush also said that he heard that Algore was supposed to announce his candidacy this Saturday at the Earth Concert but now that this has happened, he doubts it. Of course, you know who is doing cartwheels over the news.

What a surprise. This is all about him. He is trying to be “relevant” after the 2000 election was “stolen” from him when it was “his turn” to be President.

Apparently Albore, III has taken these kinds of articles too much to heart, for he thinks it’s time to “party like a rock star’s kid” while driving 100 mph and endangering innocent lives.
