To clarify my previous remarks: 1) I believe Romney has the resume, the personality, and the appeal to independents to go against Hillary. 2) The party is in disarray. It will take an unusually strong candidate to win in ‘08. If we are going to lose, I’d rather lose with an appealing, relatively young candidate (the Kennedy factor) who can attract new voters and lead the party than with an older candidate with no new ideas. 3) Other than being an actor, I don’t see the “wow” factor for Fred. Again, if he is nominated, I will support him, but I’ll be very bored. It tells me the Republican party has run out of ideas.
